We are creating an ecosystem with mentors, volunteers, and community members to empower lesser-privileged children through education and learning.
Millions of children in lesser-privileged urban and rural communities find it challenging to get educated and inculcate social skills
to break out of a vicious cycle and reach their highest potential.
Shaping a better society for the future
At the moment, we run seven learning centers in Hyderabad – Filmnagar, Shaikpet, Gachibowli, Banjara Hills, Secunderabad, and Punjagutta.
We are creating learning centers for children in lesser-privileged urban and rural communities to support their education and learning.
We conduct 17 batches daily throughout the year. That translates into 150 cumulative hours of direct classroom teaching per week, and in an academic year of 35 weeks, that is about 5000+ hours of teaching.
Classes are run before and after their school hours – where they are encouraged to learn Math, Science, and English in an effective way.
Each student is also taught Sports, Indian classical dance, music, and visual arts, helping in overall holistic development.
We conduct classes with the help of our wide network of volunteers who dedicate 2-3 hours of their personal time every week to support the cause of lesser privileged children’s education.
These volunteers come from all ages and backgrounds. There are many professionals like – engineers, doctors, architects, designers, athletes, musicians, dancers and sports personnel.
We also have community members (parents, elder siblings, neighbors of our classroom children, and those who belong to the lesser privileged section of our society) who are also helping in this initiative by teaching, logistically managing our centers, by cooking afternoon snacks for our classroom children and by providing transport.
All the community members earn a regular stipend from Ishva Foundation for their daily involvement.
