My name is Radha. I belong to a family of 7 from Rajasthan. My father works as a marble stone cutter. My mother is a homemaker. Out of my 5 siblings, two of my elder sisters are married, my brother works in a clothes shop. My sister and I have been working to make ends meet. Every bit of earning is important for my family’s wellbeing in this city which we call home for decades. Got selected in National Institute Of Fashion Technology(NIFT).
In for a marathon, not for a sprint. I was fortunate to be able to get a decent education from a Govt. School and through a not for profit, Ishva Foundation – who helped me hone my skills in art. I aspire to be a designer of any kind and I am looking forward to a career in the field of design as my long term goal. Getting through an institution like NIFT was a huge blessing. I am praying for my successful admission into NIFT Hyderabad so that I can be close to the family as well as my teachers.
